INFORMATION OF THE WARSAW SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT - HIGHER SCHOOL OF 19.03.2014/XNUMX/XNUMX on the issue of invoices confirming payment for educational services. RULES FOR BILLING EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Pursuant to the Act of March 11, 2014 on tax on goods and services (Journal of Laws No. 54, item 535, as amended), the following rules apply when issuing invoices confirming payment for educational services:

1. The invoice confirming the payment for educational services is issued by WSZ - SW to the entity (student / student / trainee) with whom it has concluded a study agreement specifying the terms of payment for studies.

2. The payment made by the employer to his employee for the educational services provided by WSZ - SW does not change the fact that the service recipient is the employee. In this case, in the invoice, the employee (student / trainee / trainee) will be indicated as the buyer, while the employer will be listed as the payer.

It is not possible to issue an invoice to a company that reimburses the student for his study costs.

3. The invoice cannot be issued at any time. As of January 1, 2014, the basic rule regarding the deadline for issuing invoices has changed. According to the new art. 106 and sec. 1 of the VAT Act, the invoice will be issued no later than
On the 15th day of the month following the month in which the goods were delivered or the service was performed. This rule will apply analogously to advance invoices documenting the receipt of a partial payment (i.e. on the 15th day of the month following the month in which all or part of the payment was received from the buyer). We treat the payment of the tuition fee by the student as an advance payment.

4. Invoices for natural persons who do not conduct business activity, such as a student, and for sales exempt from VAT, in this case it does not matter what the status of the buyer of goods or services is, in accordance with the Act on tax on goods and services, only and only on request. In view of the above:

if the buyer requests an invoice no later than the end of the month in which the goods were delivered or the service was performed or the advance payment was received, generating a tax obligation, then the invoice shall be issued no later than on the 15th day of the month following the month in which the goods were delivered / service performed / advance payment was received,
if the invoice is requested after the month in which the goods were delivered or the service was performed or the advance payment was received - the invoice shall be issued within 15 days from the date of submitting the request.

We issue the invoice at the student's request submitted within 3 months from the end of the month in which the tuition fee was paid. The request may be submitted on the form (Annex 1), by fax: (22) 862 32 47, by e-mail: Sprawura@wsz-sw.edu.pl, by phone: 22 862 32 72 or in person.

After this deadline, it will not be possible to issue an invoice. The university may issue a certificate of the amount of the payment made.
